Anti-Aging FAQs

Direct answers to the questions we hear most.

Who injects Botox and fillers at Bellair?

Dr. Peter Bray, a board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Greg Pugen and senior nurse injectors administer Botox, Dysport and dermal fillers at both clinics. Dr. Bray personally injects at Bellair, and the nurse injectors train through the clinic’s Allergan partnership.

How long do anti-aging results last?

Botox and Dysport last up to four months. Dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, which the body absorbs gradually, so they are not permanent and are topped up when volume fades. Sculptra results last up to two years, and XERF skin tightening lasts 12 to 18 months.

Should I choose Botox or a filler?

Botox relaxes the muscles that crease the upper face, so it suits forehead lines, frown lines and crow’s feet. Fillers replace volume, so they suit cheeks, lips, under eyes and the folds beside the nose and mouth. Many clients combine both, and the 50 units plus one syringe bundle is priced for exactly that.

Which skin tightening treatment is right for me?

XERF is a multifrequency radiofrequency treatment with no needles and no downtime, done in a minimum of two sessions. Thermage FLX delivers its result in a single session. Morpheus8 adds microneedling to radiofrequency, which makes it the better choice when texture and scarring matter as much as laxity. Your consultation compares them for your skin.

Is there any downtime?

Botox, XERF and Thermage FLX have none. Fillers can leave bruising, swelling or tenderness for a few days, Morpheus8 leaves redness for one to three days, and microneedling leaves the skin pink for 12 to 48 hours.

How much does Botox cost in Toronto at Bellair?

Botox and Dysport are priced per unit, from $14.50, and your dose depends on the size and strength of the muscle rather than a set number. Dermal fillers start at $499 a syringe, Sculptra at $699, and a bundle of 50 units with one syringe of filler is $998.
