About CoolSculpting for Double Chin
The handpiece used to treat the chin area is called the CoolMini and it effectively treats chin fat. 1-2 treatments are required for best results.
CoolSculpting technology safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. The treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen). Over time, your body naturally processes the fat leaving a more sculpted look. This process is call Cryolipolysis.
Cryolipolysis means reduction of fat cells with the use of freezing, hence the term freeze fat away by freezing fat cells to the point of reduction without damaging any surrounding tissues such as nerves, skin and muscle.
CoolSculpting Procedure
The Coolsculpting treatment will take 1 hour per area. Prior to treatment a cool gel pad is applied to the skin and there is a suction from the hand peice which is necessary to treat the fat. There is high patient comfort as once the hand piece is applied to the skin it does not move for 1 hour. Post treatment a massage is performed on the area and some numbness is expected for a few weeks post treatment.

Am I Good Candidate For Coolsculpting?
The CoolSculpting fat reduction procedure is specially designed for those who have unwanted fat that resists diet and exercise. Unlike gastric bypass surgery, the CoolSculpting procedure is not a weight loss solution for people who are obese. It is, however, a non-surgical alternative to liposuction. Good candidates have noticeable bulges in certain areas, including under the chin, they’d like to get rid of. What Does CoolSculpting Feel Like?
As the cooling begins during the first few minutes, you will feel pressure and intense cold. This soon dissipates. Many people read, watch videos, work on their laptop, or even take a nap during their treatment.
Can I Return To Normal Activities Post Treatment?
Yes, you can. The CoolSculpting procedure is completely non-surgical, so typically you can return to normal activities immediately. Some patients experience redness, minor bruising, tingling, numbness or discomfort in the treated area, but this is temporary and will resolve completely. Often times, patients return to work after their CoolSculpting session is over.
When Will I See The Results From CoolSculpting Treatments?
You may start to see changes as quickly as three weeks after your treatment, and will experience the most dramatic results after two months. But your body will still flush out fat cells and continues doing so for up to four to six months after treatment.
